A few weeks ago, I was gifted a Commodore 64 that was in really great condition.
Despite how near immaculate it was, it had a dead ram chip.

Now me, being the kind of person to err on the side of caution, I decided that all of the ram chips needed to come out and be swapped. While I was in there, I might as well socket them to make life easier for me later. Swapped out the MT ram with some nice TI ram. And I also stuck some heatsinks onto the SID and the VIC chips while i was in here.

follow up: i got more heatsinks in for the c64 and turns out it has a lot more hotspots than just the VIC and SID, so i put one on the PLA too. Any other suggestions for chips that could use a heatsink?
