A few weeks ago, I was gifted a Commodore 64 that was in really great condition.
Despite how near immaculate it was, it had a dead ram chip.

Now me, being the kind of person to err on the side of caution, I decided that all of the ram chips needed to come out and be swapped. While I was in there, I might as well socket them to make life easier for me later. Swapped out the MT ram with some nice TI ram. And I also stuck some heatsinks onto the SID and the VIC chips while i was in here.

follow up: i got more heatsinks in for the c64 and turns out it has a lot more hotspots than just the VIC and SID, so i put one on the PLA too. Any other suggestions for chips that could use a heatsink?

@Mendie_Taoma @Jenetrix My proposal is Kittyscript (see the #Kittyscript hashtag), a programming language I started developing.

It's gonna be a modern, multiplatform programming language inspired by Lisp (Scheme in particular) and Lua. And it's going to be so flexible and extensible through macros and compiler plugins that it's probably very well possible and practical to implement a Basic dialect compiling through the Kittyscript compiler.

and there will be a meow() function! (it's gonna be an alias of print)
