my "language is dictated by use, not by rules" ass still desperately trying to find a good alternative solution for german enby pronouns that doesn't involve reusing male ones (cuz neuter option reuses a lot of male ones)
i said a yip-yap, the yipping, the yipping, to the yip, yip-yap and you don't stop the yapping, to the yop yop yipping, say up yap the yipping, to the rhythm of the yapping, the yip
@Kestenan ones that go "but look how well i did" without acknowledging the reality of the luck factor of survival and prosperity are never to be trusted. doesnt matter how good someone is or how well they do if they don't have that luck factor. these same people also tend to argue against flattening the luck factor for better equity for everyone because some of them i feel don't want to acknowledge that it exists let alone is the reason they are where they are.
low key kinda don't trust philosophy written by anyone who hasn't experienced traumatic hardship at the hands of the status quo, or from anyone who tries to downplay or lie about it. its also kinda easy to tell who is bullshitting about their hardship, especially ones preaching "bootstrap narratives" in order to sell book and speaking tours.
i do find it kinda funny that the vast majority of philosophers i really really fuckin hate and often cite as "trying to justify horrors, problematic systems, and problematic social structures" are almost always cis white straight men from affluent countries... and also ayn rand.
@2something i use several of the optiplex 5050 sff machines as servers, and have one plugged into my tv as a media center pc. its frankly overkill for the task with its configuration (16gb ddr4 and 256gb m.2 ssd.) they're a bit on the older side but work well as glorified web browser machines.
