the recent AI drama in opensource makes a lot more sense logically when you view everything through the lens of "corporations are explicitly and intentionally trying to kill anything opensource that they cannot directly control themselves, or cannot strongarm into acting in the companys' interest"

@Jenetrix for individuals who power use software it does not really matter how many 0 days exploits you find in the source code.

Jellyfin is a good example. Lets say someone 0 day my server.

1st. They would need fins it and target it.
2nd. What they would steal was already stolen years ago.

@Jenetrix corporations have never been anything but hostile and we should have never given them as much power as they have now

and now there is drama and we are tearing through eachother's throats because we want to rectify even just slightly this mistake
