Watching this video about a guy talking how he got into drawing, telling how he actually drawn a lot as a kid until one day a teacher completely dismissed a project of his he spend months on and proudly presented taking all his courage

So he stopped drawing for 10 years, only until he was around artists and out of school and was encouraged to try and finally felt like he was allowed to draw again

I am crying now

@miawinter this happened to me. was actually two reasons: my freshman year of HS with my art teacher repeatedly dismissing and ridiculing my projects, and the same year my dad roasting (and subsequently destroying) my notepad because of all of the drawings of me as a girl. i stopped drawing and havent really picked it back up since. i occasionally dabble in vector art now (like my current pfp) but i havent drawn in over 15y now :\

@Jenetrix I've been writing for the first time in 15 years

After almost a year now I improved massively, and people really like my writers voice. Creatively I have been the happiest I've ever been in my life ever

Maybe give it a shot
