New Surface Laptop will only have 8 GB of Ram for the base spec. It will cost almost a thousand pounds.

When Apple is able to undercut you on a premium device with only 8 GB of ram, that is just irresponsible.

And I think it’s funny that this is all Microsoft’s fault. If they didn’t encourage the LLM boom, then ram prices wouldn’t go up so high and they wouldn’t have to flog a shit-tier laptop for nearly four digits.

But also… I went to Currys recently, and there are plenty of high-spec laptops with a touchscreen that have more power than a base-level Surface laptop and at the same price

So is Microsoft just price-gouging as well lol?

they pretty much gave up on producing those three years ago for some reason

(at least in that particular situation, incase got a license from microsoft to continue producing those keyboards and mice, so they are still available, but,,, eh,,,)
